April Ross

April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball players who have won medals in more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian who will be joining her in Tokyo. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic gold. There is a chance that she has one chance at winning, as she's 39 old. She remains optimistic that she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we play our top or play well I feel like we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. In addition, I'm planning to rely on a bit of luck. Ross was born August 22, 1982, at Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area together with her parents. At Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many different sports. As a prep-athlete she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. She was definitely the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. According to her bio, during high school she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) and the setter (outside blocker). Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her the national Player 1999. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman started their partnership in 2017, but Ross was a beach scene celebrity for a long time prior to. She has won major events twice, with various partners. The other is an icon in the world of volleyball. From 2007 to 2013 she played by Jennifer Kessy, who is currently her coach. Kessy was Ross's teammate at the 2009 World Championships. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded the gold medal. They were defeated for the gold medal by the legendary duo comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross began her collegiate professional career playing for the Trojans of USC following her high school days. This was years before Ross went to the sand and turned professional. And her run at the school was an impressive one. She was an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. The Trojans had the chance to make it to the Final Four with her help. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss in her sophomore year however she was able to return in the ranks of an All-American. The last two years with the Trojans in the program they won victories by winning successive national titles. She was a fantastic volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the top female college volleyball player. Ross studied International Relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to see her daughter's rise to the beach volleyball spotlight. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001. Ross was in the midst of being a USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. She continues to cherish her parents who passed away. Margie is a beach lover and in daily life, continues to inspire her.
